Test Your XS Charge PMA System

1. Get the bike running/idling to do your proper voltage test (12.9V - 14.5V)

2. Inspect all wiring to confirm connectivity

3. Disconnect the connection between the stator and regulator/rectifier and check for any damage (heat, corrosion, etc.)

4. Remove the flywheel and inspect for damage.

5. Visually inspect the stator for any noticeable damage.
    Check for oil leaks that would cause the unit to fail.

6. Remove the stator and test it with the voltmeter on its lowest Ohms settings.
    Test it between each leg (readings should be between 0.7 - 1.0 ohms).

7. Remove the regulator/rectifier and insect it for any damage.

8. Now, with your voltmeter on the "Diode" setting, test the regulator/rectifier like so:

     - Red lead (+) to red plug on the regulator/rectifier
     - Black lead to test each individual terminal of the 3-wired yellow plug
       There should be no change in your readings

9. Switch the red lead to the green lead (-) plug on the regulator/rectifier.
    Repeat test as before, testing each terminal of the 3-wired yellow plug.
    All 3 readings should be similar. They do NOT need to be exact.
